American researcher (non-smoker, living alone, no pets) starting a two-year postdoc at DTU in Lyngby and COPSAC in Gentofte on 1 October 2026. I arrive in Copenhagen on 22 September and need to move in between 15 September and 15 October 2026.
Looking for a room or small apartment, furnished or unfurnished (both equally fine), with total monthly cost (rent + utilities) up to about 11,000 DKK for a shared space or 13000 dkk for a private apartment. Essential: I must be able to register my address with folkeregisteret (CPR) at the property. Minimum 3-month lease 12 months or longer preferred.
Location: ideally within a 10-minute walk of an S-train station on the Østerport–Hellerup–Gentofte–Lyngby line, or anywhere within ~20 minutes of DTU or COPSAC by train, bus or bike (e.g. Lyngby, Virum, Søborg, Gentofte, Hellerup, Charlottenlund, Emdrup, Østerbro, Nørrebro).
I have a formal letter of employment from DTU and can provide references. Until 22 September Im in San Francisco but can view by video at any hour, or send a Danish colleague to view in person on my behalf.
